  4. Instructions for use:

All electronic resources provided by this guide page, except for the free resources that are displayed as Free, have no usage restrictions, the rest are paid electronic resources. Due to the contract with the manufacturer, they can only be provided to the current faculty and students of the school. So you need to meet the following requirements before you can log in and use the library with the account and password of the library card:

  • Current faculty and staff with library cards: use the employee ID and SSO password.
  • Registered students: use the student ID number and course selection system password
  1. Term of Fair Use:

As the various electronic resources and electronic journals provided by the library are mostly paid databases subscribed by the school, and there is a use contract signed with the publisher. The following are the general rules of use stipulated in several contracts, please be sure to abide by them when you use the database. If there is a major violation, it may damage the rights and interests of all teachers and students in the school, and you must take full legal responsibility.

You can:

  • Browse, download, print and save the query results.
  • Browse, download, print and save the full text of a single article.
  • Use the information in the database for personal academic, research and teaching purposes, and indicate the source of the reference.
  • Send the electronic file of a single document to a valid user (that is, current faculty and students in the school).
  • According to the regulations of the database manufacturer, post the URLs of the documents in the database on the course website for valid users to connect and use.

You cannot:

  • Use special software to perform automatic, massive and systematic data downloads on purpose.
  • Planning, mass-printing or downloading of full-text content from the database. For example: download all (or most) full-text articles of each volume and issue of a journal, or download more than a reasonable proportion of full-text articles within a certain period of time.
  • Use the information in the database for any commercial and profit-making purposes.
  • Publicly disseminate the information in the database to non-valid users. (e.g. via e-newsletter, or electronic bulletin board)
  • The full-text PDF files downloaded from the database are directly posted on the public website for anyone to download.

For detailed usage specifications of each database, please refer to the announcement on its website. If the personal account password is provided to alumni or outsiders to use various electronic resources of the school off-campus, and there is a major violation, they must also be jointly and severally liable.
